Dilo is a browser extension that converts Spanish speech into English text.
Dilo has no servers and no analytics. We do not collect, store, sell or share personal data.
When you dictate, your audio recording is sent directly from your browser to the OpenAI API (api.openai.com) for transcription and rewriting, using the API key you provide in Dilo's settings. Audio is processed in memory and is not stored by Dilo. OpenAI's handling of API data is governed by OpenAI's API data-use policies.
Your settings (API key, default tone), your weekly usage counter and your
most recent result are stored only in your browser via
chrome.storage and never leave your device except as described
above.
Dilo requests activeTab, scripting,
storage, offscreen and clipboardWrite
to record audio, insert text into the page you are using, remember your
settings and copy text when insertion is not possible. Optional website
access, if you grant it, is used only to insert your dictated text.
